No amount of words can describe the impact that Elvira has had on the Halloween industry.  2001 was the twentieth anniversary of the first appearance of Elvira.  Elvira first appeared in 1981 on KHJ-TV in Los Angeles, California on Movie Macabre.  In 1982 Movie Macabre began syndication throughout the United States.  Since then, Elvira has been a traditional Halloween icon for all Halloween enthusiasts.

NEW MOVIE: Queen "B" Productions announced the completion of principal photography on "Elvira's Haunted Hills," the first Elvira feature in thirteen years, following the successful "Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark" released theatrically in 1988. The film stars Cassandra Peterson as Elvira and Richard O'Brien (writer/creator of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show") as Vladimere Hellsubus. Filmed entirely on location over a two month period in Transylvania and at Mediapro Studios in Romania, the film takes place in 1851 Carpathia and is a parody of the classic Vincent Price/ Edgar Allen Poe films of the early sixties. The producers are currently seeking theatrical distribution.

Description from Elvira: I'm Elvira, Mistress of the dark.  Your typical girl next door.  If you happen to live next door to a cemetery, that is.  And welcome to my nightmare!

The place: Carpathia, the year: 1851.  It all starts when my French maid and I get booted out of our cozy B&B by the not-so-friendly  Inn-creep just because of a slight monetary discrepancy.  The next thing you know, we've hitched a coach-ride from "phriendly physician" Doctor Bradley Bradley and end up spending a weekend from hell in Castle Hellsubus!

If you think the castle is creepy, you should check out it's owner, Lord Vladimere Hellsubus.  Sure, he seems nice enough at first.  I mean, for a guy who comes from a long line of sadistic sick-o's.  But, as bad luck would have it, he mistakes me for his "ex" who died mysteriously ten years ago this very weekend!  Nice timing!  When I discover he's got his own torture chamber stashed down in the dungeon, complete with a pit and a pendulum, I find out the true meaning of the term "split" personality.

Elvira's Haunted Hills is a shocking story of ghosts, possession, curses, you name it!  Throw in some thrills, some action, a few steamy love scenes and a torture rack (Hey, sounds like my last date!) and let the nightmare begin!
